Education & Prevention
As a practice, we truly believe that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”; that’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking X-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
Your first visit is designed to be an information-gathering visit for both you and your doctor. This means that you may or may not receive your cleaning on your first visit. We are committed to providing the time needed for your dental cleaning without rushing, even if that includes another cleaning visit. In addition, dental findings will be explained to you at this visit or a subsequent consultation appointment, depending on the complexity.
Your initial exam will:
- Last approximately 2 hours, depending on your condition and needs
- Include necessary x-rays, photographs of your teeth and smile, and a digital impression of your teeth
- Include a review of your medical and dental conditions
- Include an oral cancer screening
- Include a detailed analysis of each tooth and your gum tissue
- Include a complete evaluation of your bite and jaw joint

Financial Arrangements:
In order to provide the highest quality of care, we have payment options for you to choose from. A qualified staff member will be happy to assist you with this.
To ensure quality service, we ask that the patient portion be paid at the time of service. Your patient care coordinator will provide any and all options available to you to make that payment.
Each patient will be provided an estimate to the best of our abilities for any procedure needed, but this estimate is not a guarantee.
A 48-hour cancellation notice is required for any appointment to avoid a fee.

Welcome! Our team looks forward to providing you with exceptional and compassionate dentistry. To provide you with outstanding service, we would like to get to know more about you and your current state of health. If you are unable to complete the new patient paperwork ahead of time, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to you or your child’s appointment to fill them out.

Costs:
The cost of treatment depends on the type of procedures and complexity of the patient’s needs. Insurance coverage also varies and depends on your specific plan’s policies and benefits. You will have a chance to discuss costs and payment options before treatment begins.
We are a preferred provider with Delta Dental. If you are out of network, we are happy to bill your insurance company for you, but please keep in mind, the balance due is your responsibility. We can also provide you with a pre-treatment estimate that can help you determine how much will be covered by your plan.
We understand that investing in your dental health is important, which is why we’ve partnered with Sunbit to provide you with accessible and flexible financing options. Whether it’s a routine cleaning, cosmetic enhancements, or necessary restorative procedures, Sunbit allows you to break down the cost into manageable payments, so you can get the care you need without delay.
Sunbit’s application process is quick, simple, and designed with your convenience in mind. Most patients are approved in just a few minutes, and there are no hard credit checks or hidden fees. With Sunbit, you can choose from various payment plans that best suit your budget, giving you peace of mind while maintaining your oral health.
Dental Insurance:
One question we frequently get is:
What insurance do you accept?
We bill all dental insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional), and PPOs. We are a preferred Delta Dental provider. We will prepare all necessary forms for your dental benefits, but we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance policy. Policies can change, and employers can switch providers or levels of coverage, which can affect the amount of your bill.
Please keep in mind that you are responsible for the amount not covered by your insurance. If you have questions about what your responsibility might be, our staff will be happy to submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company to provide an idea of your out-of-pocket costs.
Payment Policy:
The patient portion of your bill (the amount not covered by insurance) is due at the time service is performed unless a payment is made in advance. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), as well as SunBit financing. To pay with SunBit, you must apply for it and be approved before treatment begins. The process is easy and can be done at your visit, if needed.
Snow and Inclement Weather Policy:
If the weather makes it unsafe for patients and staff to travel to our office, we may choose to close the office for part or all of the day. If you cannot make it to your appointment because of inclement weather or are unsure whether our office will be open, please call as soon as possible.
If you want to schedule an appointment or have any questions, please call our office at (206) 242-1500.
